June Cohen is technically an editor at HotWired <http://www.hotwired.com>, the World Wide Web cyberstation developed by the folks at Wired magazine, but she is referred to around the office as "surfer girl." As editor of the Net Surf and Net Soup sections, she splits her time between typing URLs and writing chatty blurbs. As a sideline, she hosts Late Byte, HotWired's late-night, off-beat, online "chat" show. While attending Stanford University, she served as editor in chief of The Stanford Daily, and founded the paper's online multimedia news supplement, "Proteus."
